i found a hero's youtube account
Serious! Adrian Pasdar (plays Nathan Petrelli in Heroes) has a YouTube account.
Although most of his videos are only a minute or less.. it is really interesting to see a lot of the Heroes cast not being actors on the show. I love the way he shoots the videos and especially his use of the background music.
If it had been any other guy out there, his videos might've not been so great, I guess. But then again, he's got good editing skills as well as the talents of so many other actors at his disposal.
He doesn't have pay them for being in his videos either! Hahahaha. I'll share some of my favourites!
In the order of oldest to latest:
Starring Greg Grunberg who plays Matt Parkman, the mind reading police officer. It's just TOO CUTE.
Video #2: Forbidden Fruit
Starring Sendhil Ramamurthy who plays Mohinder Suresh. One seriously intense video. Will he eat it? Oh, the suspense!!
Video #3: Grunny Goes Nuts!
Starring Greg again. Going mad in the labs. Oh, and you will finally get to see a little bit of Adrian in this one too.
Video #4: Wipeout
Kristen Bell, one of the new heroes is in this one. She is amazingly hyper in about EVERY video that he took with her in it.
Video #5: Pit Stop
I find this one incredibly funny. The description Adrian had put for this video was:
"Wasn't sure what day it was. Called Milo. He always knows."
Video #6: Emmy Night
As the title implies, it was Emmy night. Again, Kristen Bell being overly hyper. She's really got some dance moves there. Hahaha!
Video #7: MaSi
Masi Oka, otherwise known as YATA man, YATA dude, or that guy who plays Hiro Nakamura, the one with the coolest power (in my opinion) - teleportation and time travel - getting stabbed in the eye by the make up lady. Aww. Poor Hiro!
Video #8: ORANGE JULIUS
Hayden Panettiere, the cheerleader who has the power to heal herself sort of in an immortal kind of way, or Claire Bennet, is just too cute.
Note to self: Must use the word "some" with caution.

why in the world are there only the terms boyfriends and girlfriends and nothing else
"But there's no such thing as a manfriend, or an oldmanfriend, or a womanfriend.." I said in return.
"Oh but why?" asked Mark.
"Well.. because...." I started before I got cut off.
"You blog about it! Then I'll read it and get back to you", said Mark hurriedly.
"................................. WHY ARE YOU SO LAZY THAT YOU DON'T EVEN WANT TO MAKE CONVERSATION WITH ME ANYMORE, IS IT?!!"
But anyway.
Why in the world are there only the terms boyfriends and girlfriends and nothing else.
thoroughly and exhaustively researched by Kimberley.
A serious question was posed to me last night. Why, regardless of age, are the terms boyfriends and girlfriends used. This is a good question indeed. Why. Why aren't there instead terms such as manfriends, womanfriends, oldmanfriends, oldnagfriends, and such.
The answer is this: When these couples are around each other, they are magically reverted back to their teenage days where they might tend to ignore all others in the room, abuse petname calling, act on unthoughtful acts of PDA, and generally being too overly lovey dovey with one another.
Therefore, there can be no such thing as a manfriend, etc. as the term manfriend suggests that the individual to be mature about his relationship. Whenever a man turns out to be more mature about his relationship with his partner, he is no longer at the boyfriend/girlfriend stage. At that stage, he is called a husband.
But even at the husband/wife stage, they can still revert back to their teens/lovey dovey days by going out behind their partner's backs and getting a boyfriend/girlfriend - as long as they're not married to that person they will forever be lovey dovey in that relationship.
It all stops once they're married. Therefore, proven.

something he'll never do sober
He told me I was very pretty.
Sang to me.
And talked in an Irish accent.
Hehe. So silly. I'm sorry. I love you, baby.
iconic kiasu behavior
Kidding, Halim! I will forever fail at peeing standing up, ok?
Yes! Was done using paint! Finally settled on this one after soooo many attempts at getting a close to decent picture. Hahaha. But Wani will forever be queen of drawing cartoons of hilarious daily situations using paint. *bows to Wani*
Don't forget to check her blog out. She just posted some new drawings! Hilarious, as usual.
PS. I don't see myself drawing on paint again anytime soon.

want to see 24 minutes of your life waste away right in front of you?
the little bird incident
Omigosh! I just saw the most curious sight! The most awesome winds are blowing outside. It's so strong that when I looked out my window, I saw a bird hovering just outside my window! It's so funny!! You know that birds aren't able to hover, right? Well, this bird was trying to fly against the wind but it was so strong that it looked like it was hovering instead.
But the poor thing! The wind only got stronger and it was blown backwards. Hahahahaha!!
PS. Winds like these actually scare me a little cos they seem so violent. But the little bird incident was too cute!

mark, there's a disclaimer in this post, ok?
I've been up watching Judge Judy episodes on YouTube. Teehee. I have no idea either how I ended up watching it. And I know Judge Judy's been around a long long time (11 years now) so it wasn't like I just found out about her. So, I hope you haven't seen these yet and well.. that you enjoy her show as much as I do. Oh, I do so love horribly mean intelligent people (disclaimer: except Mark). Others being the host of The Weakest Link, Anne Robinson, as well as Dr House, albeit fictional. Oh, and Simon Cowell too.
- This one was a pretty crazy case. And also the longest episode I've seen thus far. Usually one case would run a total of 9 or 10 minutes but this one broke the record and went on twice as long that it comes in 2 parts. Haha.
Part 1
Part 2
I do wonder who this guy is though. He seems to have spawned a lot of kids and have a lot of girls for him to spare. And if he did have the pick of the bunch, why did he ever go with this looney one? Or did he? Ahh.. - This case was just so sad. I feel bad for the ladies. One to have spawned a child with such a loser. The younger girl though.. I feel bad that she wasted all that money on such a guy and that she wasted her younger years believing she loved him. Yucks. Loser. Watch it. He sounds like such a loser to depend on a 18 year old when he's 10 years older than her to bail him out of jail, to pay back his debts, to get back his impounded car. Sheesh.
- Oh. This one was a bit strange. The defendant is a bit in over his head thinking that he's famous and that uh... throwing up on another person is fine. Watch it and all will reveal itself.
- This case here I think should be one of the more famous cases she has handled which involves an eBay scammer who believes she is not in the wrong when she sold pictures of a couple of mobile phones to buyers who unknowingly thought that they were bidding for actual mobile phones. I like how Judge Judy in this one went all ballistic and yelled at the girl for being a theif and stupid. I especially like the part where she said that she felt sorry for the children produced by this scammer and the thieving husband.

kimmy's birthday

But that's not what this post is supposed to be about! It's about Kim finally turning the much over hyped number 21! How she finally turned 21 may not be how she dreamt it up to be but it was nonetheless not any less special than what she managed to dream up for herself. I lied. If things had gone the way she dreamt it up to be, her own wedding would've been a book club meeting in comparison.
How she dreamt it up to be in her own mind:
She flies all her friends out to some spectacular hotel or resort where they will stay a total of 3 days, 2 nights, having fun. On one of the nights will be her super mega huge birthday bash. Fantastic foods such as chicken wings will be served (lol). She obviously wasn't thinking too much about food. Also great drinks will be served.. to get people drunk. Muahahaha. Then the highlights of the night would be performances from Panic! At the Disco, The Academy Is, and Anberlin. And they are all there only for her!! And everyone will have a blast and dance and party the night away. Hehe.
She's so cute when she dreams, no? Also, she wanted to have her party guests wearing only white so that she'd stand out in the crowd by wearing a different colour. Although she isn't so much an extrovert, since it was to be a special day/night, she doesn't mind being the center of attention. I think she might actually secretly be an extrovert. I don't know!
How things actually went:
Was by no means any less special! For one, she felt like her birthday lasted an entire week! Because everyday since she got back from Kota Kinabalu, there have been occurrences which in one way or another had something to do with her birthday!
Friday, 29th June 2007

Kim, the poor innocent girl, was not expecting anything to happen other than to hang out one last time with everyone before having to head back to Miri the next day. There she was innocently sitting at the tables, drinking her third glass of beer, when she felt a presence sneaking up from behind her.

She hopes that she didn't look like she was acting, she wasn't. But she had her mouth covered with her hands from the shock. Haha. Of course, there was the singing of the birthday song, the wishing, the blowing of the cake, and the cutting. Then the distributing and the devouring.

Saturday, 30th June 2007
The little gathering they had the previous day carried on till 3am on this day (does it still count?) and at the end of it, she ended up quite tipsy or drunk. But even if she was, she couldn't tell. She remembers always ending up on her back when she tries to sit though. Which was hilarious and kept making her laugh. I think she was talking a bit more too although she denies that it was the alcohol talking.
There were reports later that morning that she was talking to herself while packing her luggage that night but she was only reading off her checklist to see if she had anything left out! She talks to herself all the time anyway so it shouldn't be anything special or new.
Also, as Kim and her friends were all at the airport, about to go into the departure lounge, she got more hugs and birthday wishes from the guys. Aww. Feel the love! And when they had finally landed in Miri airport, he boyfriend was there to surprise her and to welcome her home. Awww... He had driven all the way to the airport just to greet her! So feeling the love!!
Sunday, 31st June 2007
Mark, her sweet bumbling boyfriend, surprised our main character with a birthday present. She's so easily surprised, isn't she. She also opened her present on this day despite saying that she would wait for her real birth date to roll on by.
Monday, 1st July 2007
The gang that Kim traveled to KK with came over that night. Initially only to trade pictures. Then it started getting late so everyone decided to stay back and wait to midnight. Countdown to my birthday! =)

Tuesday, 2nd July 2007

Kim's family drove all the way up to bandar. Dropped by the mall. Went to Dome for brunch! Kim couldn't decide what to order for herself and was torn between ordering this breakfast set which has bacon, scrambled eggs, and toast... or ordering spaghetti carbonara. Haha.

But the purchase of the day had to go to Kim's sister who bought herself a pastel blue Nintendo DS. Funny since it wasn't even her birthday. Oh well, Kim.. better luck next time. At least you also bought a pair of slippers Charles and Keith, right? Not only one purchase but two.

Earlier, Kim's brother bought her a little white teddy bear in a supermarket that came with a little black marker for everyone to write their birthday wishes on for her. Aww. Everyone that was there wrote her a little message for her to remember. Someone drew a mustache. She is yet to figure out who.

Wednesday, 3rd July 2007
Kim had a last minute birthday party where everything just happened to happen. Everything was last minute, the cake, the preparation, the food, the invites, everything. Her aunt curled her hair with some curling tongs. She was apprehensive about it, of course, never having had curly hair before but since it's some sort of "special" day, as her aunts put it, she decided to give it a go.
Our heroine wasn't very fond of the outcome though. Maybe she just needed time to get used to her new hairstyle. Oh well.

Oh and guess what? Our girl was lucky enough to have her boyfriend make a trip back down to Miri as well just to celebrate her birthday again. Aww. Lucky girl.

Then there were others who managed to make it as last minute as it all was and brought gifts too. Kim told me to mention that she says thanks to everyone. She really wasn't expecting to be given any gifts. In fact, she's forgot that day that people gave presents on birthdays. Lousy girl.

Unfortunately that night didn't go without its misfortunes. There was a terrible so-called accident which caused cake to end up on other people. Here are some of the unfortunate but luckily still alive and breathing casualties.

And you thought our birthday girl was safe? Not with the kind of friends that she has, she is never safe.

if they were just like us
Earlier today, as my brother and I were walking back to the car, we came across a line of red ants marching across the corridor. I would've stepped right on them if Aaron did not warn me of them. Luckily, I drew back my foot in time. As I did that, I noticed that if you put your foot over these ants, they would run away to avoid being squished.
And thus, Aaron and I started imagining what they might've been saying:

world of webcamwhoring
If you do.. then you're welcome to join me in the world of webcamwhoring at Cameroid!! *click*
Cameroid lets you choose between several effects. My favourite has been the Cheap Romantic, as well as the Mona Lisa. Hehe. I found it very easy to use. Just remember to allow it to access your computer's webcam. Go check it out.
It even lets you save the pictures you took with the effects. Check some of mine out.

This is just me. Normal. No special effects whatsoever.
What was I doing? I was watching The Kill on MTV. Haha.

I was trying to do an ah lian pose.
Cos how weird would it be if our dollar notes had our leaders posing that way?
It's not a very good picture but I just couldn't bring myself to striking another pose like that again!

I'm a happy monkey.

It's supposed to look like a comic book/superhero kinda style.
But the pixels were a bit too large that I couldn't figure out what kinda pose to do.
So I was just showing you how to make the shadow of a dog with your hand!

I would look so creepy as a ghost.
Did you notice my lousy brother who ruined the shot?

We're conjoined at the forehead. Doctors say that it's too much of a risk to separate us.

Le sigh. Oh, the life of a depressed cartoon character.

Uhhh... don't ask me what I was trying to do.

You know I'm doing all this just for you, right?
You, you and you!

the perodua kelisa and malaysian pride
Mark just passed me a link to BBC. There was an article there about how Malaysia is attacking Top Gear's host Jeremy for saying that one our Malaysian cars is one of the worst in the world. No need to even say what car that is. I'm sure a lot of you all know which one he has reviewed before. The Perodua Kelisa. Here's the article:
Malaysia lambasts Top Gear hostTop Gear host Jeremy Clarkson has come under attack in the Malaysian parliament for labelling one of the country's cars the worst in the world.
Jeremy Clarkson thinks Perodua Kelisa sounds like a diseaseThe BBC presenter has been filmed attacking the Perodua Kelisa with a sledgehammer before blowing it up.
But minister Abdul Raman Suliman defended the nation's car industry, saying Mr Clarkson was like a football commentator who cannot play football.
He told MPs, Perodua had not received a single complaint from British owners.
He added that the comments were made merely to boost sales of the Top Gear magazine.
'Soulless'
Mr Clarkson has voiced his frustrations with the small three-cylinder model in both magazine articles and on the Top Gear motoring show.
In one article, he said its name was like a disease and suggested it was built in jungles by people who wear leaves for shoes.
And on the show, he described it as "unimaginative junk, with no soul, no flair and no passion".
He then smashed it, hung it from a crane with a one-tonne weight attached, before blowing it up.
Perodua is Malaysia's second national carmaker and began producing small compact models in 1995.
[Link]
Haha! After reading all that.. I'm so damn embarrassed to say that I'm Malaysian. I am totally on Jeremy Clarkson's side on this one. I'm sorry for all you Kelisa drivers out there. Not that the car is totally horrid. It's just one of those cars you would go for because it's affordable. Nothing wrong about that at all!
And on the show, he described it as "unimaginative junk, with no soul, no flair and no passion".
It's true anyway. Just take a look at it. It's all been done before! Sure, it's cute. But that's the extent of it. Whoever designed it did nothing innovative nor memorable about the car.
In one article, he said its name was like a disease and suggested it was built in jungles by people who wear leaves for shoes.
Think about it. It's so true.
But minister Abdul Raman Suliman defended the nation's car industry, saying Mr Clarkson was like a football commentator who cannot play football.
I guess the guy was just doing his job as a Malaysian but I doubt he really gave a damn about the whole issue. I'm guessing he was the one who always got picked on to say stupid points about why whoever they are currently attacking was wrong for doing so.
But honestly! How can you say that he's just like a football commentator who cannot play football. Obviously he can drive. He's got a successful show that has been running for years, on which he does a lot of driving. Like, duh!
Malaysians can be too proud sometimes that even their points don't make sense sometimes. Sigh. Want to attack, at least attack do it with some intelligence!
He then smashed it, hung it from a crane with a one-tonne weight attached, before blowing it up.
What?? Can't someone have a little bit of fun? Haha. I actually managed to catch the episode of this show on tv. It was so funny.

Bwahahahaha! Hilarious! Okay.. I take back what I said about them doing nothing innovative. Yeah! Now with built in Bluetooth Technology! Damn you Malaysians. You all crack me up sometimes. Sometimes. Most of the time, you guys just piss me off. But I'm glad for a change this time. ;)
